Windmill principle

While reading James Gurney´s Imaginative Realism book, I decided to give it a try with the windmill principle as explained within this wonderfull book.
All the tonal arrangements explained on this example are absolutely comprehensive and extremely important.
This is my attempt: watercolor and gouache on montval 4x6in ( 10x15cm)
James Gurney Blog - A must read!
Rembrandt van Rijn, the Mill (1645-1648) - the original painting where James discuss the principle.
